Presenting the award to Ms. Brazil was commercial real estate brokerage legend Mary Ann Tighe, vice chairman of Insignia/ESG and a past recipient of the PWC Achievement Award. Tighe spoke of Brazil, the only woman principal at Thornton-Tomasetti, as a person who "presents her projects whole -- not just columns and trusses," and someone who is "always willing to share, a great collaborator." She praised the "sheer volume of her important work," mentioning just a few of her projects, including 5 Times Square, Times Square Tower, an expansion of New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. Brazil thanked the leadership of her firm, saying "The recognition today is a direct result of opportunities given to me by Richard Tomasetti and Charlie Thornton.
