 Bonds Due 2001 (the "IDU Bonds") validly tendered for exchange and, accordingly, no amounts tendered will be prorated. Brazil will issue U.S. $1,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of the 11 5/8% U.S. Dollar-Denominated Global Bonds Due 2004 (the "Global Bonds") pursuant to the Exchange Offer. When combined with the U.S. $2,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Global Bonds to be issued pursuant to the Global Bond Offering for cash, a total of U.S. $3,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Global Bonds will be outstanding following settlement for the Global Bond Offering and Exchange Offer.
