Brazil's Tele Celular Sul Group Chooses LHS' BSCS Customer Care and Billing Solution; New Win Brings Latin American Total to 25 Licenses, With 9 Licenses in Brazil Alone.

LHS Group Inc. (Nasdaq:LHSG) (Neuer Markt:LHI) today announced that Tele Celular Sul Participacoes, S.A., a group of three Brazilian wireless operators in which LHS global partner Telecom Italia Mobile owns a controlling interest, has selected LHS' client/server-based customer care and billing system, BSCS, to support its AMPS and TDMA-based wireless service for up to one million subscribers.

The operators included in the Tele Celular Sul group are Telepar Celular S.A., Telesc Celular S.A. and CTMR Celular S.A. The Tele Celular Sul group of companies licensed BSCS to replace its own existing legacy customer care and billing solution.

Tel Celular Sul is a Brazilian wireless operator whose major stockholders include Telecom Italia Mobile and local investors. The company owns a wireless license for the Brazilian states of Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.

According to "Wireless Week" there are a total of 19 telecommunications licenses in Brazil.
