Brazauro to Explore Two New Projects in the Tapajos Region of Brazil.

HOUSTON -- Brazauro Resources Corporation (TSX TSX Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE before April, 2002)

) has acquired interests in two new gold properties in the Tapajos region of Brazil known as Sucuri and Crepori. The Company is embarking on an extensive exploration program to follow up on promising results from initial exploration activities at both properties.

Sucuri

Exploration crews are currently building a semi-permanent camp and conducting grid geochemical sampling. Brazauro has signed an option-to-purchase agreement with the owner of the exploration license covering 5,400 hectares. Brazauro has applied to the Brazilian authorities for an additional exploration license covering 4,860 hectares. The Sucuri property is located at the southern reaches of the Tapajos District and is accessible by existing roads.

pits with assay results showing consistent grades between 2.4 and 311.1 g/t Au. The average grade of the vein channel samples is approximately one ounce per ton gold. The vein contains no other metal sulfides besides the pyrite and the copper minerals. The gold is not visible, even in the highest grade specimens. Samples taken from two other known parallel veins returned assay results similar to the main vein (the Alvino Vein).

There are three known major vein systems within the property with potential for quartz veining vein·ing

The first set of drill holes will be placed to intersect In a relational database, to match two files and produce a third file with records that are common in both. For example, intersecting an American file and a programmer file would yield American programmers.  the near-vertical main Alvino Vein system at depths of fifty to one hundred meters. The camp is being prepared for drilling with a rig available in November. An initial drilling program of about 2,000 meters is planned. The ongoing geochemical program should better define the known drill targets and locate other potential targets.

Crepori

Brazauro has optioned an exploration license application consisting of 8,175 hectares situated at an accessible location near the mouth of the Crepori River, at its confluence confluence /con·flu·ence/ (kon´floo-ins)

The concession applicant holder and his immediate family recovered 45 kilograms of gold from a contiguous placer pit about 30 meters by 50 meters linear size, with an average vertical depth of approximately 5 meters. At the present time there is no camp site at the property and no inhabitants

. A camp will be constructed at Crepori so serious exploration can be conducted there. Construction will commence following the completion of the camp facilities for the first stage of drilling at Sucuri.

Neither Crepori nor Sucuri have been drilled or explored by sophisticated exploration methods.

Exploration programs in Brazil are supervised by Stephen Zahony, vice-president of Exploration of the company, who is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and who has reviewed this news release.
