BravoBrava!, an advanced technology company passionate about making the consumer electronics experience easier and more intuitive, will demonstrate the initial capabilities of its AllMiMedia software at CES 2004. AllMiMedia is a radical combination of software and services which allows individuals access to all their digital content, all the time, from anywhere they have an Internet connection.

"Imagine what your digital life would be like if all of your digital content -- your favorite TV shows, photographs, music, TiVo(R) and Microsoft(R) Media Center-stored content, Internet radio Listening to audio broadcasts via the Internet. There are more than 4,000 broadcasts available on the Internet that can be streamed and played by a software media player in the computer or in a stand-alone Internet radio with the software built in.  and TV stations, favorite applications and information services See Information Systems.  -- were available to you from any location, at any time, on most any device, including your cell phone or PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) A handheld computer for managing contacts, appointments and tasks. It typically includes a name and address database, calendar, to-do list and note taker, which are the functions in a personal information manager (see PIM). ," said Jim Behrens, BravoBrava's CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . "You could be riding in a taxi on the way to the airport and remotely program your TiVo to record the upcoming Sharks hockey game and then play it back later on your Web-enabled PDA from your hotel room in Manhattan."

Behrens said BravoBrava! is turning that vision into a reality with its AllMiMedia software and services. BravoBrava! is demonstrating how devices enabled with the AllMiMedia software can make digital content available remotely, anywhere and at any time, in the Microsoft Partners Pavilion, booth #8323 at the Las Vegas Convention Center The Las Vegas Convention Center is owned and operated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and is located in Clark County, Nevada. It is one of the largest Convention centers in the world. At the end of 2004, the center had 3. .

In addition to showing initial capabilities of AllMiMedia at CES, the company will be providing a free three month trial of AllMiMedia to CES participants, delivered as a service. It allows users to remotely access TV program guides and program recordings on a TiVo with Home Media Option or a Microsoft Windows See Windows.

In addition, users can access photographs and music stored on their personal recording devices via their appropriately-equipped cell phones or PDAs. The AllMiMedia software will be licensed to consumer electronics manufacturers and digital service providers. Licensees will be able to offer their customers a way to access and control their products from anywhere -- whether it is a home server, personal computer, printer or other device -- through the customer's Web-enabled cell phone or PDA.

Behrens, consumers are becoming increasingly frustrated by the growing complexity of accessing and controlling their digital content across multiple devices and locations. The increasing number of remote controls cluttering every home, combined with the confusing and different interfaces for each appliance and service, makes the situation even worse.

Home networking manufacturers are making strides in helping consumers share information within their home. However, most current solutions require a user to be physically in the same room as the displayed content. AllMiMedia allows users to access their content not only from any room in their home, but from any place in the world through their Web-enabled device.

"Think of AllMiMedia as home networking on steroids," said Behrens. "It goes far beyond the home and creates a personal network that is always with you, wherever you have Internet access See how to access the Internet. ."

AllMiMedia uses BravoBrava's patent-pending technology, which is designed from the ground up precisely to deliver a simple and elegant personal networking experience to users. Called "Collaborative Architecture for BravoBrava," or CAB, it consists of a very thin and reliable communications and control architecture that combines the best of peer-to-peer with client server technologies in a robust package. In addition, licensees are able to utilize a natural language programming interface with simple English Simple English usually refers to a simplified form of English such as:
  • Basic English — a constructed language with a small number of words created by Charles Kay Ogden
commands to control the communications between various devices and services.

Because it is standards-agnostic, AllMiMedia allows a multitude of conflicting devices to work together seamlessly to give the user access to the digital content that he or she wants, regardless of manufacturer or device. Since it is used to control all of the devices enabled by AllMiMedia, the consumer does not have to learn a new application or interface for each device.
