Braun AG and Braun bring action against Remington Products for patent infringement.


LYNNFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 16, 1996--Braun today announced that it has filed an action in the United States District Court United States District Court

The patent involved covers the technology of Braun's unique Supervolume body-enhancing hair styler. The complaint, filed on Jan. 16, 1996, seeks to enjoin To direct, require, command, or admonish.

Enjoin connotes a degree of urgency, as when a court enjoins one party in a lawsuit by ordering the person to do, or refrain from doing, something to prevent permanent loss to the other party or parties.
 Remington from infringing Braun's U.S. Patent No. 5,457,894 and demands unspecified monetary damages.

Braun recently settled an infringement suit it had brought against Conair Corp. on the same patent. As a result of that settlement, Conair agreed to respect the patent, redesigned its product and entered into a consent judgment prohibiting future infringement.
