Braun AG and Braun Inc. settle action against Conair for patent infringement.


LYNNFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 15, 1996--Braun, the creator of Supervolume, the first hair styling appliance specifically designed to give volume to straight hair styles, and one of the world's leading hair care appliance manufacturers, today announced that it has settled its patent infringement patent infringement n. the manufacture and/or use of an invention or improvement for which someone else owns a patent issued by the government, without obtaining permission of the owner of the patent by contract, license or waiver.  action against Conair Corp. on a mutually satisfactory basis.

The patent involved in the action covers technology for the unique body building system of Braun's Supervolume hair dryer.

Braun brought the suit, No. 95-12273-REK, against Conair in the U.S. District Court in Boston on Oct. 17, 1995, seeking monetary damages Monetary damages, in civil law, refers to compensation given to an injured party by a liable party.
