BrassRing Inc., a leading provider of integrated online and off-line recruiting and hiring management solutions, announced today that it has appointed Deborah Besemer as president and chief executive officer.

Ms. Besemer was formerly president and chief executive officer of BrassRing Systems, a division of BrassRing Inc. that provides companies with customized web-based hiring management solutions and services designed to accelerate the hiring process. Under Besemer's leadership, BrassRing Systems' revenues have grown 400% this year over last year, making BrassRing Systems a leader in the hiring management Application Service Provider (ASP) category.

Ms. Besemer brings to BrassRing Inc. more than 20 years of experience in building and growing software companies. Prior to joining BrassRing Systems, Ms. Besemer spent more than a decade at Lotus, where she managed a business unit with revenues in excess of $1.3 billion, and more than 4,000 employees in 46 countries. While at Lotus, she was credited with helping to grow Lotus Notes Messaging and groupware software from IBM Lotus that was introduced in 1989 for OS/2 and later expanded to Windows, Mac, Unix, NetWare, AS/400 and S/390. Notes provides e-mail, document sharing, workflow, group discussions and calendaring and scheduling.  to its leadership position in the groupware market, and was a key leader in the successful merger with IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) .

Ms. Besemer replaces Joan Sills, who became CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
