Brashear LP has received a $ 54.5 million, six-year contract from the US Army for type classification and production of a multi-purpose fire control system to be used on the Mk-19 40 mm grenade machine gun and other weapons. Brashear's Safcs II improves the accuracy of the Mk-19 by 18 times at a range of 1000 metres.
