In her first function as International Spokesperson for Youth, Brandy will help raise awareness of the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign as the organization's Special Ambassador for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. As part of this special effort, Brandy will encourage young people to volunteer and make a difference by raising money to help build a better future for children around the world. Established in 1950, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF began in Philadelphia when a youth group collected $17 in decorated dec·o·rate

"When I was a little girl, I remember carrying my orange UNICEF carton with me as I went Trick-or-Treating," said Brandy. "The idea of kids helping other kids is such a great way to introduce children to being involved in charitable causes and volunteer work, setting them on the path to doing good for others throughout their lives. I am so honored to have been chosen by UNICEF for this exciting role, and I can't wait to start doing my part to spread the word to children and adults in the U.S. and around the world."

"Brandy's commitment to improving the lives of children and giving them a chance to lead healthy lives makes her the perfect person to act as our International Spokesperson for Youth. She is a terrific role model who will mobilize mo·bi·lize
