Brandy to be U.S. Committee for UNICEF's International Spokesperson for Youth.

Brandy as Special Ambassador for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF 

to Work on Behalf of Millions of Children Worldwide

International superstar Brandy, recognized all over the globe as both a successful singer and actress, has been named the first International Spokesperson for Youth by the U.S. Committee for UNICEF.

As the International Spokesperson for Youth, Brandy will speak out to help improve the lives of future generations of children living in the developing world. Her leadership role will influence future generations of adults to commit themselves to volunteerism and improve conditions for children around the world. As Brandy's role grows with the U.S. Committee for UNICEF, she will follow in the tradition of UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Audrey Hepburn, and visit UNICEF projects abroad to see and experience firsthand the children who are being served by UNICEF.

In her first function as International Spokesperson for Youth, Brandy will help raise awareness of the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign as the organization's Special Ambassador for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. As part of this special effort, Brandy will encourage young people to volunteer and make a difference by raising money to help build a better future for children around the world. Established in 1950, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF began in Philadelphia when a youth group collected $17 in decorated milk cartons on Halloween to help children overseas. Since then, U.S. children have collected more than $100 million by going door-to-door with the U.S. Committee for UNICEF's trademark orange collection cartons on Halloween.
