Brandevor reports third-quarter profit.


REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 1994--Brandevor Enterprises Ltd. today announced a profit of $15,988 (US) for the third quarter ending Sept. 30, 1994.

Gross beer sales revenues for the period were $698,941 on case sales of 56,358. Revenues are up 61 percent over the same period last year when the company reported sales of $432,235 and losses of $202,933 (US). For the year to date (9 months) gross revenues are reported at $1,969,600, up 35.7 percent from sales for the same period in 1993. Losses for 1994 through September are $116,861 as compared with losses of $520,479 at the same point in 1993.

"This is the second consecutive quarterly profit and an indicator that the company is showing solid progress in line with our projections. We fully expect the positive trend to continue to accelerate through 1995."

In a related development, management reported an extremely strong response to its launch of Wild Boar Winter Spiced, the company's premier release of a holiday seasonal beer. Orders for shipment by the end of the year will exceed 35,000 cases and catapult catapult (kăt`əpŭlt'), mechanism used to throw missiles in ancient and medieval warfare. In another development, management reported that, in a vote supervised by the National Labor Relations Board National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), independent agency of the U.S. government created under the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 (Wagner Act), and amended by the acts of 1947 (Taft-Hartley Labor Act) and 1959 (Landrum-Griffin Act), which affirmed labor's right , brewery production employees defeated, by a two-to-one margin, an attempt by the local Dubuque chapter of the Teamsters Union Teamsters Union, U.S. labor union formed in 1903 by the amalgamation of the Team Drivers International Union and the Teamsters National Union.
