Brand, Perry 'record rendition of Edward Lear's nonsense verse'.Byline: ANI London, November 12 (ANI): Russell Brand Russell Edward Brand[1] (born June 4, 1975) is an English radio and television personality, comedian, actor, and newspaper columnist. Brand dresses in a flamboyant bohemian fashion describing himself as looking like an "S&M Willy Wonka". and partner Katy Perry have reportedly recorded a rendition of poet Edward Lear's 1871 nonsense verse nonsense verse Humorous or whimsical verse that features absurd characters and actions and often contains evocative but meaningless words coined for the verse. It is unlike the ritualistic gibberish of children's counting-out rhymes in that it makes such words sound 'The Owl And The Pussycat'. The couple did the recording at the famous Sunset Sound studios, where the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys and The Doors have made music in the past. "Russell was just messing around in the studio with Katy. He was pretending to sing into the mic and started reciting the poem, The Owl And The Pussycat, with the lines, 'Oh lovely Pussy pus·sy adj. Containing or resembling pus. puss, pussy term of endearment addressed to a cat. Called also moggy. ! Oh Pussy my love, what a beautiful Pussy you are'," the Sun quoted a source as saying. The insider added: "It transpired the poem is a private joke between the couple. "Russell apparently recited it to Katy during their Thailand holiday and they often use the nicknames Owl and Pussycat. Russell is 'Owl' because he's wise and, well, it's fairly obvious that Katy's a sex kitten, isn't it? "He has an amazing delivery. Katy blushed at the line, 'O let us be married, too long have we tarried' then joined in, singing a refrain to Russell's speech. "That's when it dawned on everyone. It was actually really good. With work, it could be a really interesting track, evocative of The Goons or Monty Python. They were very harmonious. Everyone was transfixed."
