Net sales for the third quarter are $4,911,000, a decrease of $2,881,000 from $7,792,000 in 1994. Reductions in operating expenses and interest costs have offset some of the decrease in net sales.

For the nine months ended September 30, the Company has reported net income of $2,284,000 (21 cents per share), compared to a loss of $741,000 (7 cents per share) last year. Results for the nine months include a gain of $3,937,000 (36 cents per share) on the sale of a commercial property from lands held for redevelopment.

Net sales for the nine months are $13,017,000, down from $16,941,000 last year, reflecting a 34 percent decrease in housing starts for the period. Improved gross profit margins and reduced operating expenses have mitigated some of the short fall in sales volumes.
