Brainium Announces Third Quarter Results.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 2001

Brainium Technologies Inc. (TSE:BNU) a leading provider of innovative education solutions, today announced the results of its operations for the three-month period ended September 30, 2001.

Sales for the third quarter amounted to $1.62 million, compared to sales of $2.69 million during the same period last year. The Company's gross profit percentage for the third quarter was 32.6% compared to 20.2% for the same quarter last year. The gross profit percentage improved from 20.9% for the nine months ending September 2000 to 34.5% for the same period ending September 2001, an increase of 65.1%. Net loss after amortization and interest charges for the nine months ending September 30, 2001 amounted to $5.27 million compared $6.96 million for the same period ending 2000, which represents an improvement of $1.69 million or 24.3 %.

Brian Lock, Chairman and CEO of Brainium Technologies stated, "Our significant gross profit percentage increase represents our implementation of several cost cutting initiatives, negotiations with suppliers, coupled with competitive, yet profitable price points for our products. The delay in the education budget approval in the United States did adversely affect our sales in third quarter however as federal funds are being released, schools will be in a position to start purchasing."
