BrainTech scheduled to market "brain" chip -- March 1995.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 30, 1995--BrainTech Inc. (NASDAQ/OTC:BNTI BNTI Blind Nasotracheal Intubation ) management Monday announced that its BrainTron(a) chip has passed reliability tests and is ready for production and board assembly.

Delivery of an MS-Windows(b)/Pentium(c) add-on A purchase of additional goods before payment is made for goods already purchased.

An add-on may be covered by a clause in an installment payment contract that allows the seller to hold a security interest in the earlier goods until full payment is made on the later goods.
board is scheduled for March 1995. Initial efforts will focus on select Fortune 500 corporations and the Department of Defense.

BrainTron is a hardware implementation of BrainTech's patented recognition algorithm algorithm (ăl`gərĭth'əm) or algorism (–rĭz'əm) [for Al-Khowarizmi], a clearly defined procedure for obtaining the solution to a general type of problem, often numerical. . The algorithm is based on a set of rules governing gov·ern

, president, stated: "This product sets us apart from the competition. We are the only company to have a chip based on the world's best recognition design, namely that of a human brain."

Brad Martin, senior hardware engineer, said: "The tests we performed prove our claim that the algorithm can be mapped successfully to hardware. In fact, our design approaches the theoretical upper limits for speed and bandwidth utilization for microprocessor microprocessor, integrated circuit containing the arithmetic, logic, and control circuitry required to interpret and execute instructions from a computer program.  technology.

"The exciting part is the architecture is infinitely scalable ... we can gang as many chips together as is required. This means the markets for this chip span the entire spectrum from small hand- held units to the most intensive data analysis systems you can think of ... everybody's a customer."

Paco Nathan, vice president, technology, described BrainTron as "the first cost-effective pattern-recognition chip." He said, "By ganging together BrainTron chips we can provide real-time answers to real-world problems. We can take any type of data, from electronic signals to database records, analyze its shape characteristics and provide an accurate answer.

"We are providing an inexpensive way to solve all sorts of needs, from human-type recognition such as handwriting HANDWRITING, evidence. Almost every person's handwriting has something whereby it may be distinguished from the writing of others, and this difference is sometimes intended by the term.
