BrainTech Hires Senior Vision Systems Engineer.

VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 27, 1998--Management is pleased to announce that Babak Habibi has been hired as a Senior Vision Systems Engineer for BRAINTECH Inc.

In this capacity Habibi will integrate vision components into BrainTech's turnkey machine vision solutions. He will assist business development in the creation of proposals and solution requirements. As well as providing technical support, Habibi will determine the task, scope and nature of solutions to be delivered through direct discussions with prospective customers.

Habibi has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Applied Science from University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. Habibi's research involved the development of a vision-guided robotic seam recognition and tracking system. This research was a joint project between the University of Waterloo and Modular Vision Systems of Montreal, Quebec. His previous work experience included mathematical modeling and simulation of electromechanical systems, controller design, and robot-sensor interfacing. Most recently, Habibi worked as Robotics Engineer for Modular Vision Systems of Montreal.
