BradyGAMES and Virgin Interactive Entertainment Enter Exclusive Publishing Deal; Three Year Agreement to Feature Command and Conquer, The Daedalus Encounter, and Lands of Lore II.

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 1995--BradyGAMES has been selected the exclusive publisher of game strategy guides for Virgin Interactive Entertainment (VIE), officials announced today. In the agreement, BradyGAMES, a division of Macmillan Computer Publishing USA, will receive first publishing option on all games released by Virgin Interactive Entertainment during the three-year relationship.

BradyGAMES, a leader in the game book market, currently has three game guides on the schedule under the Virgin agreement: Command and Conquer, The Daedalus Encounter and Lands of Lore II. Other guides will be scheduled in the future.

Virgin Interactive Entertainment is one of the largest developers and publishers of computer, video game and interactive CD-ROM software. Virgin Interactive Entertainment vice president of business development Keith Greer stated, ``We are excited to work with a fellow publisher in the Viacom family. Virgin looks forward to a strong and successful relationship with BradyGAMES, based on our common goals.''

The first strategy guide currently scheduled under the agreement will explore the new combat strategy game, Command and Conquer. This PC CD-ROM game features exciting new sound and graphics technology. The game is a struggle for global dominance, in which players embark on dangerous missions in a race to secure the rare mineral Tiberium. The game and the BradyGAMES official guide to Command and Conquer will hit the market this June.

The Daedalus Encounter, a science-fiction, interactive action adventure CD-ROM game, starring actress Tia Carrere, is due out in April 1995. The BradyGAMES strategy guide will reveal the secrets and tips of this 22nd Century inter-galactic war game, which features three heroes who are spaceship salvagers following the war. The guide, due out in June, will include a four-color scrapbook and CD-ROM of behind-the-scenes action of this interactive movie.

Lands of Lore II is the sequel to one of the top-selling role playing games of all time, Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos. This interactive adventure explores the mysteries of ancient magic, and includes two CDs of action video and 3D rendered graphics, featuring spoken dialog. The game and BradyGAMES guide will be out this fall.
