PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Aragon Surgical, Inc., a venture backed emerging medical device company, announced the appointment of Brad Snow as its Vice President of Sales. Brad brings to Aragon Surgical strong start-up and large company experience along with a successful track record in medical device sales. Prior to joining Aragon Surgical, Inc., Brad served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Medlogics, a DES Cardiology device company. Prior to Medlogics, Brad served at Rubicor Medical a novel breast device company as Director of Sales and Business Development. Brad's prior experience also includes several Sales Leadership positions with RITA Medical, Oracle, Nugenesis Technologies and GE Medical.

"I am pleased to be joining Aragon Surgical at this critical juncture - the introduction of their RF product line. The features and benefits of these products provide so much of what physicians have said is missing in the products they have been offered in the past," said Brad Snow.

Aragon Surgical has recently received 510(k) clearance on the Aragon Surgical OS12, its first radiofrequency (RF) surgical product specifically designed for gynecologists for use in abdominal open hysterectomy procedures. Aragon Surgical plans to introduce additional products that utilize their proprietary technology in 2009.

The Aragon Surgical RF product line utilizes proprietary technology in all of their electrosurgical instruments and systems. The unique energy delivery platform serves as a foundation for laparoscopic and general surgeries currently in development.

Located in Palo Alto, California, Aragon Surgical is a venture backed, market driven surgical device company that is developing and commercializing a variety of surgical instruments. These instruments are intended to reduce operative time and improve patient safety, benefiting both patients and surgeons. Aragon Surgical was founded in 2005 and is funded by Bay City Capital, Delphi Ventures, ONSET Ventures and Integral Capital Partners.
