Bracknell and SNC-Lavalin Joint Venture Obtains Major Management Contract from Ontario Government.

 Facilities Management Services Inc., a company jointly owned by Bracknell Corporation and SNC-Lavalin Inc., has been awarded two contracts totaling $442.5 million by the Ontario Realty Corporation, a Crown agency, to manage all provincial facilities in two regions of Ontario: the Greater Toronto Area The Greater Toronto Area (widely abbreviated as the GTA) is the most populous metropolitan area in Canada. The GTA is a provincial planning area with a population of 5,555,912 at the 2006 Canadian Census.  and the Southwest region.

These two portfolios represent more than 2,200 buildings, covering 31 million square feet. The five-year agreement will commence on October 1, 1999. PROFAC anticipates the employment of approximately 500 people for the mandate, having first offered positions to persons currently carrying out the work.

PROFAC's services include operations analysis and the identification of management efficiencies and new systems or technologies to improve the overall performance and value of the portfolio. This approach is expected to reduce the operating costs of the portfolio over the next five years.
