Most recently, Staszak served as an assistant counsel to the governor of New York, where he was a member of the team that provided legal advice to Governor Pataki. In the private sector, Staszak served as vice president of corporate communications for Cantor Fitzgerald L.P. and eSpeed Inc., the global financial services and marketplace technology firm headquartered in Manhattan. In this role, Staszak oversaw all media relations and communications for both firms in North America, Europe and Asia. While with Cantor, he was the spokesman for the company on all matters involving the media, including litigation, acquisitions and strategic partnerships. He also managed the communications campaign surrounding the initial public offering of eSpeed Inc.
