Boys in fine voice thanks to scheme.SINGING is as popular among boys as it is among girls at Bournebrook Church of England Church of England: see England, Church of. Primary School thanks to a scheme getting boys to give it a try. Every week more than 20 of the seven to 11-year-old boys spend an hour practising singing. The practices are led by Andrew Ella, choral animateur from Warwickshire County Council's County Music Service. The group works towards end of term concerts for parents and fellow pupils. The best singers are given chance to join the County Boys Choir. At the moment three of the boys from Bournebrook are members. Head Mary Hoverd said: "Andrew Ella is such a good role model for the boys. It's made such a difference to their singing and we've got three boys in the county boys choir. "It's given them a lot of confidence. They're not bashful bash·ful adj. 1. Shy, self-conscious, and awkward in the presence of others. See Synonyms at shy1. 2. The singing lessons are part of the Action Aloud scheme run by the County Music Service to get boys singing.
