) has promoted Paul G. Boynton to Vice President, Performance Fibers, effective January 1, 2002. He assumes responsibility for the company's high performance specialty cellulose business from William A. Kindler kin·dle 1

Boynton, previously Vice President of Performance Fibers Marketing and Sales, will be responsible for all aspects of the Performance Fibers business, including manufacturing, research and development, marketing and sales, transportation and distribution as well as information technology.

Boynton joined Rayonier in 1999 as Director of Specialty Pulp Marketing and Sales. Prior to Rayonier, he was with the 3M Corporation as Global Brand Manager for the Home Care Division and was a reliability and quality engineer with Motorola.

Boynton is a 1986 graduate of Iowa State University Academics
