Boyd named Chairman of EUR Systems; Current President and CEO Appointed to Lead Board of Directors.

EUR Systems, a pioneer in innovative billing and revenue management solutions for the telecommunications marketplace, announced today the appointment of John E. Boyd as chairman of the company's Board of Directors.

In addition to continuing his role as president and chief executive officer of EUR Systems, Mr. Boyd will be assuming the responsibilities of Ben Scott, who is leaving the Board.

The appointment comes at a time when EUR is expanding its growth opportunities by offering licensed, outsourced or a tailored combination of both solutions. Mr. Boyd's primary role as Chairman of the Board will be to provide strategic direction to support EUR's management in achieving their corporate objectives and growth plans.

Mr. Boyd has had a successful first year as CEO of EUR Systems. He positioned the company as an industry leader and built upon EUR's long-term relationships with global and domestic telecom carriers. During Mr. Scott's eighteen-month tenure, EUR was able to strengthen its position in the telecommunications billing arena through the successful acquisition and integration of Aptis. Mr. Scott also further augmented EUR's strong management team by adding John Caddell, vice president of marketing and business development, as well as Mr. Boyd.

In addition to a new chairman, EUR Systems announces the appointment of Walter Burmeister to its Board of Directors. Mr. Burmeister brings almost 40 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, encompassing international business development, information systems, network operations, network planning and sales.

He began his telecom career at Bell Atlantic and its predecessor companies, where he served in many different management positions in his 31 years with the company. After Bell Atlantic, Mr. Burmeister served as chairman and founder of Telecommunications Management Group, Inc., a telecommunications consulting business, and founded FaciliCom, a large European telecom provider.

In 1999, FaciliCom merged with World Access, and Mr. Burmeister became president and a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Burmeister currently serves on the Board of Directors of Zenastra Photonics, a developer and manufacturer of optical switching technology.
