The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Boyd of Collinsville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Smith of Union and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mayfield Boyd of Meridian. The groom is the son of Mrs. Ellen Ferrell of Hernando and Mr. Howard Carpenter Jr. of Slayden. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Boone of Holly Springs and Mr. Howard Carpenter and the late Mrs. Hazel Carpenter of Slayden. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Rev.
