Boy critical after falling into river; RESCUE.


A YOUNG boy was fighting for his life last night after getting into difficulty in a river.

The lad, named locally as Daniel Andre, fell into the River Bann The River Bann may also refer to a river in County Wexford.

The River Bann (Irish: An Bhanna) is the longest river in Northern Ireland, the total length being 80 miles (129 km).
 in Hilltown, Co Down, just before 5pm.

Locals told the Daily Mirror the 10-year-old was taken to Daisy Hill Hospital Daisy Hill Hospital is a local general hospital located in Newry, which is in County Down not County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is part of the Newry and Mourne HSS Trust which covers an area of 909 square kilometres and represents 28.  after being hauled from the water by firemen called to the

scene.

"There are reports he was below the water for quite some time but he was worked on when the fire brigade and the ambulance arrived.

"It's fingers crossed as we wait to hear if he's OK."
