The youth and his co-defendant Mantas Kraucevicius, 27, had the victim's blood on them when they broke into a nearby house, it is claimed.

When the homeowner made a citizen's arrest, the court heard that he pleaded: "Please let us go. I'm going to have double trouble. I killed someone down the road."

The pair deny the murder charges. The trial continues.
