Boxing world mourns promoter Mike.Byline: VICTORIA MCMAHON THE great and good of the boxing world gathered to pay their respects to promoter Mike Callahan yesterday. The sun shone shone v. Former champion boxer Eammon Magee, Commonwealth champion Paul McCluskey, and former champ Ray Close, helped to shoulder the coffin of Mr Callahan, who passed away last Friday after battling a long illness. The promoter, who managed such greats as Barney Eastwood, has been credited as one of the main players in turning Belfast into a boxing hotbed.
