Boxer goes one more round on W57th.


Butch Lewis, the legendary boxer, manager and fight promoter, has renewed the lease for B. Lewis Production's offices in 250 West 57th West 57th can refer to:
  • West 57th Street, a street in New York City
  • West 57th (news magazine), a news magazine program which aired on the CBS Television Network from 1985 to 1989
 Street, where they have been located for more than a quarter century.

The announcement was made by Barry Zeller, executive director of Cushman & Wakefield, the building's management and leasing agent.

Mr. Lewis has long been a prominent figure in the prize-fighting world, first as a fighter, then as an active promoter of matches all over the country and as a manager of such stars as former light-heavyweight and heavyweight champion Michael Spinks Michael Spinks (born July 13, 1956) a native of St. Louis, Missouri, is a former boxer who was champion in both the light heavyweight and heavyweight division. He was the first light heavyweight champion to capture the heavyweight title. . "During the nearly three decades that Mr. Lewis has had his offices in the building, the neighborhood has moved through several incarnations and emerged as one of the most attractive corporate office locations in the city, sparked by the dramatic redevelopment of Columbus Circle Columbus Circle, named for Christopher Columbus, is a major landmark and point of attraction in the New York City borough of Manhattan. Completed in 1905 and renovated a century later, it is located at the intersection of Broadway, Central Park West, Central Park South (59th  and Lincoln Center South," Mr. Zeller says.

"We're glad that he's stayed with us through these transformations."

A $35 million capital improvement program at 250 West 57th Street is nearly concluded. Space availability at the building ranges from 1,500 to 11,000 rentable square feet.

Part of the W&H Properties portfolio, 250 West 57th Street is owned by Fisk Fisk   , James 1834-1872.
