FORMER WBU world champion Tony Oakey will now challenge Welshman Nathan Cleverly for the Commonwealth light-heavyweight title at Everton Park on Friday, October 10.

The Portsmouth puncher steps in to save the Sky Sports bill after original opponent Dean Francis, who has vacated the domestic strap, pulled out with an injury.

Oakey lost a thriller against Francis in June, when both the Commonwealth and British titles were on the line.
