Boxeo de Campeones and Copa Toyota Libertadores to Contribute More Than 300 Hours of New Live & Exclusive Sports Programming to U.S. Spanish-language Broadcast TV in 2003.Sports, Business & Entertainment Editors LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 17, 2003 Fox Sports en Espanol has added more than three hundred hours of new programming in 2003 that will be highlighted by the much anticipated South American soccer tournament, Copa Toyota Libertadores. The six-month club tournament will kick off on Tuesday, February 4 at 3:00 p.m. PT/6:00 p.m. ET with its opening match featuring Gremio of Brazil and Mexico's UNAM Pumas. Fox Sports en Espanol has secured the exclusive U.S. broadcast rights to all Copa Toyota Libertadores matches through 2007. Copa Toyota Libertadores will feature 32 club teams from ten participating countries including Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Colombia and Uruguay. A total of 128 matches will be played between February and July in 22 cities. The network also recently launched its new boxing series, Boxeo de Campeones (Championship Boxing), on January 13.
