Bowstreet's adaptive, portal-based solutions achieve greater variability by leveraging profile-enabled components and customizable configuration tools that enable business users to easily and quickly modify applications to meet unique presentation, process flow, and data visibility requirements - at a fraction of the time and cost it takes today.

Bowstreet's portal solutions also address the need to connect to multiple backend data sources. According to according to

a META Group study, the idea that a company can exist only with SAP is a myth. The study cites that even the best SAP customers still need to connect, on average, to 25 non-SAP systems. A typical scenario is where personnel data will reside in one application, such as SAP, and benefits data will reside in another system, such as a Domino database. To meet this challenge, Bowstreet's Enterprise Portal Solutions ship with wizard-driven connectors that automate the process of pointing portlets at multiple data sources.

"One of the barriers to successful portal initiatives is the time and complexity of creating high-impact applications that connect to backend systems at the proper level of granularity. Bowstreet Enterprise Portal Solutions provide a way to achieve rapid benefits in many companies' key focus areas," said David Marshak, senior vice president, Patricia Seybold Group.
