Bowne Internet Solutions Expands Management Team; Ken Rother Promoted to CTO, Mark Charland Joins as VP, Operations.

Bowne Internet Solutions, today announces the promotion of Ken Rother to the new position of Chief Technology Officer. Mark Charland, a former KPMG Senior Manager, will replace Mr. Rother as VP, Operations.

Mr. Rother was a co-founder of Mountain Lake Software Corporation, a developer of network distributed applications for the Canadian financial sector, until Bowne Internet acquired the firm in 1998. He has been involved in software development since 1980 and for the last 5 years has been leading the development of innovative Internet technology based business solutions. Mr. Rother received his D.E.C. in Pure and Applied Science from Dawson College.

He will focus on developing the sales engineering group, as an adjunct to the existing business development team. He will also refine our Intranet to keep up with our growth,&uot; said Mr. Glaeser.

Prior to joining Bowne Internet, Mr. Charland was a senior manager at KPMG where he was responsible for global projects within the Business Integration practice under the Global Transaction Strategies department. He was also the founder of RES-NET.COM, the first interactive technology available through the Internet to bring residential mortgage products directly to the point of sale on a large scale. Mr. Charland received his BA in economics from Western Connecticut University.
