THE Haylor brothers and Darren Smith Darren Smith can refer to any of the following people:
  • Darren Smith, Australian rugby league player
  • Darren Smith (field hockey); currently the vice captain of the New Zealand field hockey team.
  • Darren Smith (flight instructor); an aviation safety counselor.

The league, which attracts bowlers from all over the Midlands, will have total prize money of pounds 1300 and a first prize of pounds 250 up for grabs when the final 32 play off on April 1.

Smith, the favourite to clinch the title, heads the Merit Table after winning the weekly prize money nine times. Les Haylor moved into the top 10 with an impressive 21-7 win over Brian Purdy from Derbyshire.

Ken Haylor had a much closer tussle, winning 21-19 over Staffordshire's Ian Wetton to move into the top 32.
