Bowhunters revere game.


Dear Bowhunter,

As a bowhunter of 15 years, I really enjoyed Dwight Schuh's column, The Wild Side, titled "Respect For The Game" in the August/September 2008 issue. As a female hunter and an avid animal lover, I find it challenging to describe to people why my biggest passion in life is bowhunting Bowhunting is the practice of taking game animals by archery. Dwight did a nice job of explaining that most of us hunters love and revere Revere, city (1990 pop. 42,786), Suffolk co., E Mass., a residential suburb of Boston, on Massachusetts Bay; settled c.1630, set off from Chelsea and named for Paul Revere 1871, inc. as a city 1914.  the very animals we pursue. I hope to pass on the importance of reverence as did Dwight's article.
