WHAT:     Bowers Museum, Orange County, California's premier cultural
          arts museum, opens its new 30,000-square-foot
          state-of-the-art Dorothy and Donald Kennedy Wing, making it
          the largest museum in Orange County.  It also celebrates the
          grand opening of two spectacular new exhibitions--"Ansel
          Adams: Classic Images" and "Treasures from Shanghai: 5000
          Years of Chinese Art and Culture"--all on Feb. 18, 2007

          --The new wing doubles the museum's current exhibition
            space
          --More than 200 donors have virtually paid the entire $15
            million cost of the Dorothy and Donald Kennedy Wing
          --This is the second time ever that the celebrated Shanghai
            Museum has brought a collection to the U.S. (The last
            time was more than 20 years ago)
          --"Treasures from Shanghai" features bronze and ancient
            oracle bones from the Shang dynasty, jade and porcelain
            from the Son and Qing dynasties, to a myriad of exquisite
            and historically relevant lacquer boxes, paintings and
            calligraphy.
          --This is the first time "Ansel Adams: Classic Images" has
            appeared in Orange County
          --The images in "Ansel Adams: Classic Images" were chosen
            by Adams, himself, in the last years of his life, as the
            finest examples of the quality and range of his
            photographic achievements.
          --The Grand Opening takes place on Chinese New Year--Year
            of the Pig and sign of prosperity
