.) BOVAR Waste Management ("BOVAR"), a division of BOVAR Inc. announces the closure of its Beiseker biomedical waste treatment facility due to the company's consolidation of its waste processing operations at the Swan Hills Treatment Centre.

BOVAR has written down the Beiseker facility on the basis of a recent appraisal of the land and buildings and management's estimate of the resale value of the kiln, pollution control and related equipment. The company will recognize a loss of approximately $3.6 million with respect to this write-down in the fourth quarter.
