Along the lagoon a variety of citrus and vegetable products are grown and transported by small boats to towns on its waterway and those further inland. Alluvial al·lu·vi·al adj. Of, relating to, or found in alluvium: alluvial soil; alluvial gold. alluvial Adjective of or relating to alluvium Noun Gold Project located 30 km south of Dawson City, Yukon The Town of the City of Dawson or Dawson City is a town in the Yukon Territory, Canada. Overview The current population is approximately 2,022. The area draws some 60,000 visitors each year. . These discoveries are expanding the areas of strong gold values, providing further evidence that the Indian River paleochannel deposits are a significant gold host. Exploration to date has been very successful from 3 perspectives: 1) The area containing gold values on the Downstream Bench and Ruby ruby, precious stone, the transparent red variety of corundum, found chiefly in Myanmar, Thailand, and Sri Lanka and classified among the most valuable of gems. The Myanmarese stones are blood red, the most valued tint being the "pigeon's blood. Bench has expanded dramatically. The Downstream Bench, measuring 4 kilometres by 1 to 1.5 kilometres wide, is yielding gold values over its entire length. 2) Sampling has revealed the presence of gold nuggets a lump of gold as found in gold mining or digging; - called also a pepito. See also: Gold measuring up to 1.5 cm in dimension. Even a modest sized nugget Nugget A 15 year Gold FHLMC (Freddie Mac) bond; similar to a Dwarf. can have a major positive impact on the grade of a particular sample. 3) High grade gold values (an order of magnitude A change in quantity or volume as measured by the decimal point. For example, from tens to hundreds is one order of magnitude. Tens to thousands is two orders of magnitude; tens to millions is three orders of magnitude, etc. higher than quoted resource grades for some alluvial projects) have been discovered in many areas on the Indian River Project. With lower operating costs operating costs npl → gastos mpl operacionales , alluvial projects generally require a lower economic threshold grade than hardrock deposits. On a preliminary basis, potential economic cutoff grades (depending on the type of mining employed) could be about 0.1 gpt. A trenching program was conducted in May under the supervision of Overburden o·ver·bur·den tr.v. o·ver·bur·dened, o·ver·bur·den·ing, o·ver·bur·dens 1. To burden with too much weight; overload. 2. To subject to an excessive burden or strain; overtax. n. 1. Drilling Management. A total of 23 trenches (21 by ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) A contract manufacturer that uses its own designs and intellectual property (IP). See contract manufacturer. ) were attempted on the Downstream Bench (16), the Ruby Bench (6), and the Upstream Bench (1). Only seven trenches reached the bedrock interface however conditions precluded collecting samples from that important interface which is well known in the Klondike to host the strongest gold values. Thus the trenching program has returned incomplete sections which are not comparable to drill sections which do sample the interface. A rotosonic drill program currently underway will be a better technique to sample the bedrock interface. Nevertheless numerous strong gold values (up to 2265 gold grains) were obtained in White Channel and other gravels. Highlights of the sampling program are presented below. DOWN STREAM BENCH Strong gold counts and grades were pervasively encountered over a 4.0 kilometre long stretch of the Downstream Bench where 16 trenches tested various gravel horizons. The findings are summarized as follows: - Thirteen trenches reported strong gold grain counts with an average exceeding 950 gold grains per trench. - Trench IRT IRT Item Response Theory IRT In Regard To IRT Incident Response Team IRT In Reference To IRT In Regards To IRT Icing Research Tunnel (wind tunnel) IRT Interborough Rapid Transit 8 had the lowest number of gold grains at 100 but still managed to achieve potential economic significance with a section grading 0.223 gpt gold over a 1.8 m thickness - Trench IRT4 discovered that values of potential economic significance were present in both the White Channel gravels and in the overlying overlying suffocation of piglets by the sow. The piglets may be weak from illness or malnutrition, the sow may be clumsy or ill, the pen may be inadequate in size or poorly designed so that piglets cannot escape. Klondike gravel. Trench IRT4 was also the furthest trench area to the west. Surface prospecting has lead to a new discovery of an area called the Diversion Creek which has yielded strong gold shows in panning over a 200 m length. These samples did not contain nuggets but had a nugget of the size
noted above been contained in the samples, mathematically the grade
would have increased in samples IRT 22 and 23 by 10.5(i) and 8.2
gpt(i) respectively. Other trenches in the Downstream Bench area
also returned strong values including the following highlights:

SAMPLE PROCESSING Overburden Drilling Management (ODM) of Ottawa was engaged to conduct the trenching program including the custody and processing of the samples. All samples were collected, transported to a sample processing tent where they were weighed and then screened in the field using a 6mm screen. Oversize o·ver·size n. 1. A size that is larger than usual. 2. An oversize article or object. adj. o·ver·size also o·ver·sized Larger in size than usual or necessary. Adj. 1. material was inspected, weighed and is stored on site. Undersize material was shipped in secure containers to Ottawa where it was weighed and then screened on a 2mm screen. Plus 2mm material was processed in a jig jig, dance of English origin that is performed also in Ireland and Scotland. It is usually a lively dance, performed by one or more persons, with quick and irregular steps. When the jig was introduced to the United States, it was often danced in minstrel shows. . Minus 2mm material was processed on a gold table. The table concentrate was further refined by separating the gold from other heavy minerals. The gold was then screened into minus 0.5 mm, 0.5-1.0 mm, 1.0-2.0 mm size fractions and then weighed. The total gold recovered was then related back to the original sample weights to determine the gold tenor of the sample. The gold recovered is raw ounces which does not compensate for the fineness (ie gold percentage). The gold fineness based on historic operator payments in Indian River is reported to be approximately 830 (83%). Samples 22 and 23 were collected by Boulder Mining personnel and shipped to ODM for processing. Sample treatment for samples 22 and 23 was the same ODM protocol described above. Nelson W. Baker, B.Sc., P.Eng. is the Company's Qualified Person for this project and was on site for the entire trenching program. Geosciences Ltd. completed a 12-kilometer, low frequency ground penetrating radar survey over the Downstream/Ruby Bench area. Seven northeast trending grid lines measuring from 1.0 to 1.5 kilometres long were surveyed across the elevated terrace. The interpreted depth of the White Channel / Klondike Gravel units ranges from 4 meters to 15 meters in thickness and may average 6m over the 4 kilometre strike length. Over the Ruby Bench, the GPR survey indicates that the White Channel Gravels are at least 1-kilometer wide and range from 5 to 17m thick, averaging about 10 meters thick over the 4 kilometre strike. ROTOSONIC DRILL PROGRAM Currently a rotosonic drill program is underway on the Downstream Bench with over 24 holes completed to date. The drilling is being managed by Overburden Drilling Management and the same sampling protocol is in place as for the trenching program. Six inch holes are being drilled with virtually 100% core recovery so that the entire section is being recovered including the important bedrock interface. The drilling program is testing the Downstream Bench on approximately 400m centres to gather stratigraphic stra·tig·ra·phy n. The study of rock strata, especially the distribution, deposition, and age of sedimentary rocks. strat and about a metre or so of bedrock information. The program will test the Ruby Bench and holes will be drilled on the Upstream Bench as well. The rig is also capable of drilling into bedrock which will permit tests of the underlying bedrock which is now known to be auriferous au·rif·er·ous adj. Containing gold; gold-bearing.
