Bottled Tea to benefit breast cancer research.


The Republic of Tea has added a limited edition tea, Sip for the Cure PassionFruit Green Tea, to their beverage line. Proceeds from this unsweetened glass bottled iced tea will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Susan G. Komen for the Cure, formerly known as The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, is an organization supporting breast cancer research. Since its inception in 1982, Komen has invested nearly $1 billion in research, education and health services, making it the  Foundation.

One of Komen for the Cure's first official partners, The Republic of Tea develops popular Sip for the Cure retail teas and related products to benefit the organization, donating $750,000 to date. This new glass bottled iced tea is the first of the Sip for the Cure collection.

The Republic of Tea's restaurant line features nine tea "experiences" made from organic leaves, brewed and bottled. Each iced tea is calorie-free, all natural and kosher kosher [Heb.,=proper, i.e., fit for use], in Judaism, term used in rabbinic literature to mean what is ritually correct, but most widely applied to food that is in accordance with dietary laws based on Old Testament passages (primarily Lev. 11 and Deut. 14). .
