) The company is pleased to report on progress and advise that the field programs in Botswana are being completed on schedule and in accordance with the exploration budget.

MOPIPI LICENCES

The exploration program in the Mopipi area has involved detailed ground follow-up of previous aeromagnetic and helicopter-borne soil sampling surveys and selected drilling. The ground surveys have comprised grid magnetic surveying and soil sampling.

The soil sampling and mineral chemistry results have, in several locations, demonstrated rational ovoid o·void or o·voi·dal
n.
Something that is shaped like an egg.

adj.
Shaped like an egg; oviform.

ovoid

having the oval shape of an egg.

To make or grow longer.

concentration patterns and four micro-diamonds were found in soil samples from three separate locations.

The drilling program has not yet located the kimberlitic source of the sometimes abundant indicator minerals and diamonds.

JWANENG LICENCES

The exploration program continues involving the same procedures as at Mopipi and some drill testing has been completed, with the results still being analyzed.

MAKGADIKGADI LICENCES

The exploration program in the Makgadikgadi area has involved ground magnetic surveys to relocate and define aeromagnetic targets. Soil sampling was not applied in this area because of the cover of geologically very recent lake sediments and near surface saline water Saline water is a general term for water that contains a significant concentration of dissolved salts (NaCl). The concentration is usually expressed in parts per million (ppm) of salt.  which are believed to have precluded the process of bioturbation bi·o·tur·ba·tion
n.
The stirring or mixing of sediment or soil by organisms, especially by burrowing or boring.

The ground follow-up results produced some strong magnetic dipoles and some drill testing was undertaken prior to flooding during the rainy season which did not intersect any kimberlite kimberlite: see diamond.

OKWA LICENCES

Following preliminary widely spaced (4 km) reconnaissance soil sampling earlier this year when several kimberlitic ilmenites and garnets were extracted from locations cross-wind and upstream of the known De Beers kimberlite discoveries about 30 km to the south, more detailed in-fill sampling is now in progress. A helicopter-borne magnetic survey of the southern isolated licence block and detailed grid magnetic surveys is to be undertaken.

ORAPA WEST LICENCES

Ground follow-up work in the Orapa West block has not produced any targets worthy of further exploration.

The company continues to employ classic exploration techniques under the direction of Dr. Norman Lock and has the financial reserves and technical resources to successfully complete the extensive exploration program being undertaken in Botswana. In addition, the company is continuing to evaluate other mining opportunities in southern Africa
