Botox Party Launches New Level of Spa Services; Palms Casino Resort Partners with Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon, Offering Out-Patient Services.

The Palms Casino Resort Tuesday announced it will introduce the next generation of spa services by offering plastic surgery treatments at its spa beginning on Feb. 23 with a Botox Cocktail Party.

The services are in response to an increased interest in more aggressive spa treatments that go beyond the customary massage and facial. Botox is the first plastic surgery service of several that will be launched in the upcoming months.

Well-known Beverly Hills-based facial plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif and the Palms have established a monthly schedule of Botox parties that will be held two Saturdays each month (beginning in March). Private group parties may also be scheduled for groups of 10 or more guests.

Nassif, who specializes in facial rejuvenation, will perform the procedures as well as answer questions for those who would like to learn more.

"Spa customers are becoming increasingly sophisticated and demanding of their spa experiences," said Keri Printy, director of the Palms Spa. "We are receiving more requests for special skin and body enhancement treatments and often are asked about cutting-edge preventative treatments such as dermabrasion, Botox and collagen."

Party guests will be charged a minimal entrance fee to attend each event, where they can opt to pre-schedule treatments for Botox, and in the near future, collagen (with an approved skin test). All treatments will be administered by Nassif during the event or the following day. Private parties also are available for groups who reserve 10 or more Botox treatments on other weekends.

Botox and other plastic surgery procedures are becoming more acceptable for men, making up nearly 25 percent of Nassif's practice in Beverly Hills.

"I am treating more men than ever in my practice. Botox is a safe and simple preventative measure that softens and often will erase facial wrinkles, as well as prevent premature aging from repetitive facial expressions like frowning or squinting.

Fees for Botox injections are based on a customary per-site cost (approximately $300/site). The property will be offering customized weekend packages that include Botox treatments beginning in March.
