The 67-year-old man and his two alleged accomplices, aged 56 and 42, were arrested by police lying in wait and are now being questioned.

During the raid a security guard was shot. He is being treated in hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are also investigating why a police gun was fired during the operation.
