BostonWorks to Become Career Web Site Provider for Two MediaNews Group Newspapers.

BostonWorks Expands Regional Network With The Lowell Sun, Fitchburg

BostonWorks, the career services division of The Boston Globe and Boston.com, today launched a partnership with The Lowell Sun and the Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise, two properties of MediaNews Group Not to be confused with Media General, an unrelated newspaper and TV group.
MediaNews Group, based in Denver, Colorado, is one of the largest newspaper companies in the United States.

Through the partnership, BostonWorks.com will become the exclusive career Web site provider for The Sun and the Sentinel & Enterprise in the Greater Lowell Greater Lowell is the name given to the city of Lowell, Massachusetts and its suburbs, mostly in Northern Middlesex County, Massachusetts and the Merrimack Valley. The neighboring towns of Dracut, Tewksbury, Billerica, Chelmsford, and Tyngsborough, Massachusetts are invaribably  region and Central Massachusetts Massachusetts (măsəch`sĭts), most populous of the New England states of the NE United States. .

The new career sites (www.lowellsuncareers.com and www.sentinelandenterprisecareers.com) will be co-branded with BostonWorks.com and will provide access to BostonWorks.com's database of over 15,000 regional job listings. Sun and Sentinel advertisers will also be able to post their print help wanted "Help wanted" is a request commonly made by an employer in search of an employee. It may also refer to:
  • "Help Wanted" (SpongeBob SquarePants), a SpongeBob SquarePants episode
  • Help Wanted EP, an EP from punk band Midget Fan Club
  • Help Wanted
 ads to the BostonWorks.com site for a value-priced combination rate.

The agreement combines the regional power of both newspapers' help-wanted sections with BostonWorks, a growing media network that provides recruitment services for the Boston Globe, Worcester Telegram and Gazette, and the Boston Metro Boston Metro may refer to:
  • The Boston edition of the Metro International newpaper.
  • The subway system of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.

Recently, BostonWorks also became Eagle-Tribune Publishing's exclusive career Web site provider, providing services for the Eagle-Tribune's six daily and weekly newspapers in Massachusetts' Merrimack Valley The Merrimack Valley is the area surrounding the Merrimack River in northeastern Massachusetts.
