BostonWorks To Launch New Section Format on January 7.

Extended Distribution Will Include Insertion in Metro Boston and Boston Globe

BOSTON -- On Sunday, January 7, BostonWorks, the leading recruitment services provider in Greater Boston Greater Boston is the area of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts surrounding the city of Boston, Massachusetts. While Metro Boston tends to be the "Inner Core" surrounding the City of Boston, Greater Boston overlaps the North and South Shores, as well as the MetroWest region. , will launch a new tabloid style pull-out section in the Boston Globe. The conversion to a tabloid style, which is being introduced in conjunction with Big Help January 2007, will feature a new layout designed to extend the reach and shelf-life of the section. The BostonWorks section will continue to feature localized job seeker content along with the area's most extensive array of job listings. The new tabloid format will replace the current BostonWorks broadsheet format. No other section of The Boston Globe will be affected by the format change.

Along with the new layout, BostonWorks will extend its distribution by inserting the new format into Metro Boston and a daily edition of The Boston Globe. Each week, active and passive job seekers will find BostonWorks in the Sunday and Tuesday editions of The Boston Globe, in Metro Boston that same week and online at BostonWorks.com. This will increase its print distribution to more than 1.1 million.1

"We created the new format to meet the needs of both our advertisers and the local job seekers," said Jason Kissell, managing director of BostonWorks. "The new format will create a better job search experience for job seekers while enabling us to almost double the section's distribution through the Metro and Tuesday Boston Globe insertions."
