BostonWorks Job Hunt Workshop Provides Expert Advice, Tools for Career Transitions; Lee Hecht Harrison to Join with BostonWorks to Offer Intensive One-Day Session.


BOSTON -- Looking to make a jump in your career but not quite sure how to do it? Want a career training program with a local flavor? The BostonWorks Job Hunt Workshop might be just the answer.

 and those exploring career transitions the skills and tools they need to undertake a successful job search. The program has been designed and will be delivered in partnership with Lee Hecht Harrison, a global leader in career management.

The BostonWorks Job Hunt Workshop is designed to teach a range of career management skills such as assessing strengths and weaknesses, writing a resume, creating cover letters, planning a job search, defining and developing a network, creating a personal marketing plan, developing interviewing strategies and using negotiating techniques.

This first workshop will be held on June 23, 2006 at the Boston Globe. The workshop will run from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $395 and covers attendance, all program and reference materials, breakfast, lunch, and all-day refreshments, and an optional Globe tour. Each attendee will also receive a 30-day personalized per·son·al·ize
