Boston Properties inks two leases at renowned tower.

 home of two additional prominent law firms.

The first lease, for 85,468 square feet, is with Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol .

In addition to Manatt's existing New York City offices that will be relocated to Times Square Tower, Manatt has offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, Pale Alto, Sacramento, Washington, D.C., Albany, and Mexico City. The other lease, for 46,339 square feet, is with Pitney, Hardin, Kipp & Szuch LLP.

Pitney Hardin is a more than 100-year-old New Jersey-based law firm with offices in New York City and Brussels. Manatt Phelps and Pitney Hardin will be joining O'Melveny & Myers and Clarendon National Insurance Company, and will bring the building, which is set to open in late March of this year, to over thirty-five (35%) leased.

He continued, "The signing of these two leases, along with the significant activity from other major tenants in the market, is clear indication of the desirability of the premium new office space at Times Square Tower."

Manatt Phelps was represented by the following Studley executives: Mitchell Steir, chairman; Howard Nottingham, executive managing director; Matthew Barlow, executive vice president, and John Mambrino, corporate managing director, of Studley. Pitney Hardin was represented by Joseph Thanhauser, chairman, and Gordon Ogden, partner, of Byrnam Wood, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

Boston Properties was represented in both transactions by John Powers, president, Tri-State Region, and Peter Turchin, senior vice president, Tim Gibson, senior vice president, and Yasmine Uzmez, senior associate, of CB Richard Ellis CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. Times Square Tower was designed by world-renowned architect David M. Childs, of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, American architectural firm founded in 1936 in New York City by Louis Skidmore (1897–1962), Nathaniel A. Owings (1903–84), and John O. Merrill (1896–1975). , LLP, and is the second Boston Properties project in Times Square.

The first, directly across Seventh Avenue from Times Square Tower, is 5 Times Square, a 37-story 1.1 million Square office building which opened in May 2002 and is 100% leased to the professional services firm Ernst & Young.
