Boston Globe Appoints New SR VP of Production Operations.BOSTON -- The Boston Globe today announced the appointment of Robert F. Burns as senior vice president, production operations, effective September 11. Mr. Burns will be responsible for all newspaper production and commercial printing for The Boston Globe. The position reports to Mary Jacobus, president and general manager of The Boston Globe.
