Boston Edison's Pilgrim Unit Receives High Ratings From the NRC.


BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Boston Edison Company (BSE-NYSE) announced today that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), an independent U.S. government commission, created by the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974 and charged with licensing and regulating civilian use of nuclear energy to protect the public and the environment.  has given Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station the highest ratings in the plant's history for its most recent Systematic Assessment of Licensee licensee n. a person given a license by government or under private agreement.
