Boston Communications Group Purchases State-of-the-art Storage Units to Enhance Network Reliability; Prepaid Wireless Leader Taps EMC For World Renowned Infrastructure Expertise.

Boston Communications Group, Inc. has upgraded its technological infrastructure by purchasing two EMC 8730 Symmetrix storage units. EMC is the world's leading supplier of enterprise storage systems software and services.

Currently, BCGI's network handles an estimated 70 million real-time financial transactions via prepaid wireless phone plans each month.

The purchase of the two new EMC 8730 Symmetrix storage units will allow BCGI to maintain Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF) technology, allowing the duplication of data to a different location and ensuring synchronization of stored data between multiple locations. The ability to maintain data in separate locations provides enhanced reliability and assurance to BCGI's prepaid wireless carrier customers.
