Boston Cancer Researchers Meet With American Cancer Society Top Fund-Seekers.


ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 18, l998--Judah Folkman, MD, pioneering angiogenisis cancer researcher will be the featured speaker at the l998 American Cancer Society American Cancer Society,
n.pr established in 1913, this national volunteer-based health organization is committed to the elimination of cancer through prevention and treatment and to diminishing cancer suffering through advocacy, scholarship, research,
 Foundation Trustees meeting being held on October 18 and 19 in Boston.

Dr. Folkman's earliest work in developing anti-angiogenic agents to destroy cancer tumors was supported by a research grant from the American Cancer Society. His talk to the trustees will highlight the research focus of the ACS (Asynchronous Communications Server) See network access server.  Foundation meeting.

The Foundation was organized in l990 as the capital gift and endowment arm of the American Cancer Society. To date over $43 million has been raised to support cancer control programs.
