Bosses suspend G20 death probe cop.A POLICEMAN caught on camera hitting and pushing newspaper seller Ian Tomlinson during G20 protests has been suspended. He came forward to officials probing the death of the 47-year-old from a heart attack during demonstrations near the Bank of England Bank of England, central bank and note-issuing institution of Great Britain. Popularly known as the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street, its main office stands on the street of that name in London. . The incident was caught on camera as thousands of protesters converged in the City last Wednesday. Critics have accused London's Metropolitan Police of issuing misleading statements after footage emerged of the constable striking Mr Tomlinson with his baton and pushing him to the ground. The dead man's family have demanded answers and a second post-mortem was ordered to find out if external factors contributed to his death. A spokeswoman for the Independent Police Complaints Commission said: "The Metropolitan Police have now informed us that the officer has been suspended with immediate effect."
